IN LOVING MEMORY OF "RUBY Monday".

Ruby and her companion, Mickey, were surrendered to the Racine Humane Society in Wisconsin.  Their owner "moved" and just left the 2 old kitties to whatever fate awaited.  Racine does try to find homes for as many pets as possible, but they also have to accept any homeless pets - so time was a problem, as was their age.

Ruby was 15 years old, she was blind in one eye, and could barely see out of the other.  She had no teeth, kidney problems and yet she still was a loving and gentle soul.  Ruby never figured out why she was left, she never stopped waiting for her family.

Ruby went over the rainbow on Christmas.  Her companion, Mickey, was beside himself with grief.  He searched everywhere for his friend to no avail.  Mickey's story with RAIN ended January 8 - but happily.  He was adopted by a wonderful person who has other senior cats that gave Mickey the companionship he so desired.

Ruby, we wish you well.  We are sad to see you go, but hope that you find happiness once again.
