Every Dog Has a Tail!

Tookie was at Animal Welfare League where she was taken as a stray.  She was so matted they had to shave her so that she could walk and potty, and see!  Her skin is so dry and his hair is so thin from being matted and unclean for so long that it will be a while before she has that gorgeous Shih Tzu coat that will make her a doll!

Tookie has been spayed and had a dental, she had some bad teeth that had to be removed.  She had a bloodpanel done and has really good values despite being older and in such rough shape.  She also was covered in bite marks like some larger dog used her as a chew toy.  They are healing nicely, but what HAS this girl been through?

Tookie wanted to sleep in the garage, it was all we could do to convince her to sleep inside in a crate.  She didn't want blankets or soft beds, her previous life must not have been very comfortable.  She did fall asleep on laps with gentle coaxing and petting.  She barks in her crate to go out and potty, but has been trying to use the newspaper if no one pays attention.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Heartworm Test (if over 6 months, else on prevention), current on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months) test/treat for parasites (ie worming, flea preventative, etc…), AVID microchip, leash and collar.
