Serena's story at The
Humane Society of Fulton County broke our hearts. She was
released by her owner and they said she had been having run ins with their
cat aggressive dog. Serena was meowing and holding up a paw, the
staff found one toe missing a portion and another smashed. The
smashed toe must have been incredibly painful, yet Serena was ever angry
or mean, just holding out her paw as if to ask "Can you help
me?"
The shelter staff raised money to amputate
the painful crushed toe and Serena is on the road to recovery. She
is indeed a fabulous cat. She was already spayed and declawed (poor
thing was also recently living outside once she became 'inconvenient'),
but we are going to give her a much needed dental ad let her paw heal.
Serena is all recovered and happy to be
out! She is such an easy going girl, but she has been a bit bossy
and hissy with some of the other cats.
