Every Dog Has a Tail!

Scooter comes to us from a friend.  He and his roommate were the product of divorce and they were quickly being left behind.  Thanks to some quick work and a kind heart, a neighbor got them signed over to her so they would not be left in the aftermath.

Scooter was initially tentative at our vet, but he needed a neuter, dental and to have a bad dewclaw removed.  After a couple of days, he began to be very interested in all the attention the kennel staff lavished on him.  

Scooter is glued to his foster mom, he won't leave her side, even to potty.  She has to walk him around so he feel comfortable, he just doesn't want to be abandoned again, especially outside in the heat or cold or rain.  Inside, laps are all he wants.  He shared food with another dog without an issue, but was slightly possessive of lap time, nothing unusual for a Chihuahua, especially one that went through so much.

Scooter chased the cats in a negative manner.   The smart foster cats either smacked him or found their cat tree, but we don't think he would be safe around cats because of his unwanted attentions!

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Heartworm Test (if over 6 months, else on prevention), current on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months) test/treat for parasites (ie worming, flea preventative, etc…), AVID microchip, leash and collar.
