Every Dog Has a Tail!

Rusty is from DuPage County Animal Control where he was taken as a stray.

Rusy needs an owner who is unencumbered by deadlines.  Rusty moves, eats, plays at his own pace and it is not fast!  Having Husky in him, he loves the outside.  He can jump a  3' fence but has not tried to go over the 5'.  He is used to being outside and will need an owner who will let him be the dog he is.  

Gentle with children, he seeks their company but gets upset if there is rough housing.  So a quieter home would be best.  He plays gentle with dogs, but likes to bother the cats.  Rusty walks well on a leash and rides quietly in the car.  He is not an excessive barker unless someone or something new is happening in the neighborhood.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, Heartworm Test (if over 6 months, else on prevention), current on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months) test/treat for parasites (ie worming, flea preventative, etc…), AVID microchip, leash and collar.
