Robbie is from Animal
Welfare League where he was reported to have had about 3 owners in his
short 1 year life. His last owner acquired him when the previous
owner chose an allergic fiancee over him, this owner just didn't want him
anymore. They also listed him as "partially housebroken". But
when we got him to the groomer, the real stories probably came to
surface. We removed what we thought was his collar, but underneath a
thick matting of hair, we found his puppy collar, so tight it was
threatening to cut into him. His coat was SO matted that it came off
in one giant shave, like a big black & white bear rug. Meanwhile,
here is this wiggly, happy Shih Tzu who doesn't know any of us, being
groomed head, feet and some parts we won't mention (wink) and behaving
like a champ and even giving kisses! Robbie
is at our vet being neutered and getting a thorough check up. As for
the housebreaking, Robbie scratching VERY loudly at the door, so we think
his housebreaking 'problem' is probably more on the owner's side. He
is also being crate-trained, something new for him. But he is an
absolute coach HOG!
