Update
10/15/2007: Dutchie had a bad bout
with pneumonia, just shorlty coming into her foster's home. She has been
doing great and is back at the foster's house enjoying her foster brother
and sisters with much joy and playfulness.
Dutchie is very smart and lets
you know when she has to go "potty", by going to the door. She
enjoys walks and has started playing with tug toys. She is a happy girl
who always is wagging her tail. She wants nothing more to sit next to you
and be rubbed. She insists on human contact and will nudge you for a head
rubbing.
She is crate trained and will
go into her crate (on her own) at night. She does bark to be let out when
it is daytime to go potty and play with her foster siblings.
Dutchie is just the sweetest
little thing. You have to look beyond her strange look (terrier/poodle
mix) to see she has a heart of gold. She is quick and has a lot of spunk.
She would do very well in a family with other pets.
09/23/2007:
Dutchie was at Animal
Welfare League where she was taken because her family
"moved". She was really scared, despite having a buddy to
keep her company. Her buddy is a rambunctious pup who doesn't
seem to know he is in a shelter. Meanwhile, Dutchie just wants a lap
and a gentle hand.
