My name used to be Tiffany

But I am now called "Miss Tiggy-Winkle"

Tiffany was dropped off at Animal Welfare League as a "fat" little girl by her owners...not fat, but actually pregnant!

Dear Ms. Pat,

Thought you might like to see me and my sis Muffin dressed up for our walk. My mom says we are both really good dogs now. I'm not sure what she means, but I like the liver treats she gives us after we pee in the backyard.

Sometimes I see Lala's picture on the RAIN website. She's looking more and more like me (beautiful, wouldn't you say?). I hope she is also as good as I am.

I love it--every time I take the dogs to the vet, they get younger! We've had Tiggy for a year now, and when we got her, she was estimated to be two and a half. I just took her in for her rabies and distemper shots, and I asked the vet how old she is. He said, "Two years." (Muffin has gone from 3+ to one year.) Know any humans who would like me to cook for them? Just a few months and you'll be 21 again!

Anyway, aren't they gorgeous? Put them on your web success stories, if you like.

Dear La-La,

I understand you have become a physical trainer for a long-legged min-pin. I hope you are getting a good salary, or at least a lot of dog food. Two pounds? Are you kidding? That's not even canine. What was I thinking when I fell in love with that hamster?

My sister Muffin and I have been taking 3-mile walks every morning on the Prairie Path. It is our duty to terrify all the golden retrievers and black labs that also come out early in the morning. I think "terrier" and "terrify" are related concepts, don't you?

I hope you like my picture. If you don't recognize me, it's because my groomer is trying to turn me into a cairn terrier. Otherwise, she's a nice lady. I would like to have a picture of you. It's been a long time since you used to drive me crazy. Now Muffin takes care of doing that. She's OK for a good game of tug-o-rope, though, and she has taught me how to give my humans little kisses.

Love, Mama Tiggy-Winkle
