My name used to be Queen of Diamonds

But I am now called "Roo"

Originally I came from Animal Welfare League, where I was left with many others.  I found a home, but then lost it again.

I just wanted to drop a note and say that Roo is adjusting amazingly well to her new home. She hangs out under a bed, but she is far from scared, and is venturing out when she is feeling bold. In a space of only a few hours she has adjusted to my noisy toddler, and actually seems to like him! Sam seems to like her, too: when we got home, he offered her one of his favorite Wiggles videos to watch; he seems to think she is a person! :) She has played a bit, drank a bit, and purred a lot. She seems to be enjoying exploring, and loves the window ledge that overlooks the pond.

I just want to say thank you to the girl who helped us. In all of the excitement of getting Roo, we forgot to get her name! She was wonderful, made sure we had everything we needed, and even helped us with sorting out the coupons! She stayed with us every step of the way, and when we got home, we felt very secure that Roo had everything she needed.

I am so happy to have found Roo, and she is fitting in great! I am really looking forward to her feeling more at home, and seeing more of her sweet personality. Thank you for letting her become a part of our family! RAIN is doing a wonderful thing. When we are ready for a dog next year, we'll be sure to be in touch!

Take care, Michelle, Rose, and Sam: Roo's new family
