My name used to be Lara Croft

But I am now called "Lara"

Originally adopted out as a kitten by Animal Welfare League, she was returned there only a short time later as a stray...unclaimed.

She is eating and drinking and using her litter box. She is very affectionate & will jump up on my lap for head-bumps and scratching.

Lara is a very smart kitty! Last Saturday, I put her in a large dog crate (with a litter box & water) to get her acclimated. At one point in the evening, she managed to escape from the crate! When I went to check on her, I found her lounging in the larger guest bedroom.

She is now in the guest bathroom. Here she will have more room. Over the next few weeks, I hope to move her to the smaller guest bedroom, where I recently set up one of those large cat-scratching trees. Since Lara is so laid-back, I figured I'd have no trouble introducing her to Toonces, the Bengal. Well, I was wrong! Although Lara did not grumble at all, Toonces, during their initial introduction in which Lara was in a crate, hissed & grumbled every time she got near Lara. I will have to do this introduction more gradually than I initially thought.

In time, when she has acclimated to Toonces & the dogs, will have the run of the house.

Anyway, she is doing well. I am gradually switching her food from Authority to Solid Gold. She seems to prefer the Solid Gold.
