My name used to be Lacey, But I am now called "Branwyn" |
Left on the porch with the other items a tenant decided not to take with when moving, this kitty and her roomies waited patiently for days for their beloved owner to return..... |

| Hello! I finally got some pictures developed so I thought I'd send along an update on Branwyn. (a/k/a The Artist Formerly Known as Lacey) She's been a dream. I hope in the top photo you can see her looking out from her cat tree. The bottom photo is of Branwyn with her favorite toy. An old robe sash with a knot tied in one end. She drags it all over the house! Thanks for the heads-up about possible parasites, since they'd been found in one of her orphan friends. I took Branwyn to the vet and she did test positive, but after the medication she's now all clear. Branwyn really has blossomed. She's very playful, she's eating well (but not too much) and her skin is healthy and no longer flaking. She's an amazing lap cat, too. She's a great addition to my life and I'm glad you all are there to rescue great kitties like her. Thanks! Sincerely, Ben | ||||||

This message is for Lynn, regarding Lacey who was
adopted Saturday.
I wanted to give you an update. She was wonderful on the hour-long drive back to Chicago (Andersonville). I was prepared for her to immediately hide in a corner somewhere like you had warned me, but she hopped out of the carrier and had an absolutely thrilling time exploring my townhome! She went up and down stairwells and discovered all the great kitty-windowsills and found the bed under the endtable in the den and seemed to be having a really good time. She used the litter box and ate quite a bit that first evening. We then cuddled on the couch for several hours watching some British murder mysteries. She's been really good about letting me get at her ears with the mite medicine and really enjoys the treat she gets afterwards. She also REALLY likes catnip! She is also comfortable with going off by herself for a nap or for birdwatching throughout the day. She has been re-christened, though. She has that shimmery, ethereal look to her and so she has been named Branwyn, after a goddess in Welsh mythology. She really is such a delight already, fitting in very well with the surroudings and my routine. She is so sweet and adorable and I am really happy I have found her. It was worth the drive out to Bloomingdale to find such a treasure. Thank you so very much!! Sincerely, Benjamin |
