My name is "Jocie" But I ain't no outlaw! |
Lost and brought to Crawford County Humane Society, Josie was an elderly Beagle that had obviously been bred until she could no longer have puppies. She was also Heartworm Positive. |

| I still remember the call in the late Spring 2001. We were taking in some puppies from a rural shelter and they asked if we would consider the very old, very saggy and very sad looking Beagle that had been "used up" and left at the shelter. She didn't stand much of a chance at adoption, but the staff really loved her. | |||||

Jocie endured poking, prodding and x-rays, then the harsh Heartworm Treatment which would save her life, but be so hard on her tired body. We almost lost her at one point, but she hung on, happy to have someone who would love her and feed her and let her enjoy being a Beagle. |

Jocie found a wonderful home, but sadly lost it again only a 3 years later. It was very sad and very unfortunately circumstances, and they loved Jocie very much. Lucky for Jocie, a wonderful adopter came along and gave her a new home almost immediately. Jocie is now one fat and sassy and much loved pooch. This is her stopping by to see us at an adoption event, she was all wiggles, all nose to the ground and wanting to meet every person in the store. |
