My name used to be Bumpka

But I am now called "Bumpka"

Bumpka was from DuPage County Animal Control where she faced a bleak feature.  Matted, dirty and very unhappy, it took some time for her to trust people again.

She's doing wonderfully! The hiding phase of getting adjusted lasted a couple of hours and then she was finding her way around in no time.

I was really amazed at how quickly she got used to certain routines around here! She's very well-behaved too. We're taking her for her physical next Tuesday the 13th.

She likes our "pit". It's a sunken fireplace area with a railing around it. She shows-off when she knows we're going to the kitchen by taking the shortcut through the bars of the railing. When she gets to the kitchen, she looks at us like "What took you so long?"

In the evenings, she can't seem to decide who's lap to sit on. So once she chooses one, she'll sit there for awhile, and eventually switch. She also has a piece of furniture that's all hers which gives her a nice view of everything.

This house wasn't a home without her! Thanks for everything!
