My name used to be Annabelle But I am now called "Annabelle" |
Annabelle was at Animal Welfare League and needed surgery to both eyes to fix "Cherry Eye", but she was still lovely to everyone who met her! |

| We just received your
postcard following up on Annabelle. Annabelle has very quickly become a
major part of our family. She is doing great. We have had no real problems
to speak of with her. She occasionally manages to dig the rocks and wiggle
under the fence forcing the gate to pop open, but I think she must be
happy with us because she doesn't leave the front yard. We have made some
modifications to keep this from happening. We've had no problems with
chewing except shoes if we leave them down.
She is still skittish with strangers and a little jumpy. She is, however, very loving and trusting of all of us including my 85 year old grandpa who treats her like another grandchild and watches her while we work or when we go out in the evening. She must have had a rough life prior to RAIN taking her in. We do occasionally bring her to Petsmart in Bloomingdale on Saturdays to see the other dogs. She likes to go. We actually have seen the girl that fostered her once or twice and Annabelle seemed to remember her. I never did think a dog could become this important in our life but she has. She has truly made our family complete. Thank you. Patti and John |
